Sir Winston Churchill had many sides to him, and painting was one of the ways he relaxed from the pressures of leading a country. He was proud of his artwork, and it gave him the same sense of achievement as his political career. Often, he would paint with a brush in one hand and a cigar in the other.
In honour of his passion Davidoff created this beautiful limited edition cigar using a mix of tobaccos from different regions. The medium strength blend is layered and rich, with flavours of nuts, coffee, and cedar wood, something that would have matched perfectly with one of Churchill’s painting sessions.
The cigar comes in the 7 inch Churchill Vitola, which was Winstons prefered choice, giving a 60-90 minute luxurious experience. Davidoff used similar tobaccos to the original Winston Churchill line but changed the proportions to create a fresh, balanced taste.
The box is stunning, reflecting Churchill’s love for art as well. Inside the lid is one of his own paintings, Cork Trees Near Mimizan from 1924, shown with permission from the Churchill family. The cigars also carry this artwork on their second band. The box includes a wooden divider for storage and a painter’s palette style inlay for display.
A very special limited edition by Davidoff.
