This cigar in all probability, has been considered by many involved in the Cuban cigar industry and history, to be the the one that gave Fidel Castro his passion for Cuban cigars and the factory El Laguito it's place in Cuban history.
Long and slim the Lanceros has proved a popular size over the years, indeed it was one of the first three sizes to come out of El Laguito in 1968.
When production was finally allowed to be sold to the public in 1982, the Lanceros was as popular as ever, made from a carefully sellected choice of leaf from the Vegas Finas de Primera, the premier league of tobacco fields in Cuba.
People loved the rich refined flavour, the earthy profile and the fact it lasted for over an hour.
Today the size is becoming pipular again with more cigars from more factories available and the charm of the Lancero is once more being discovered.
